Dàibhidh Whisky

bottle of Dàibhidh whisky

{ Gaelic for David - it means beloved }

Taste the water of life!

Dàibhidh is like no other whisky. Its complexity and depth are gently and naturally coaxed from the simple ingredients lovingly brought together and crafted into what we suspect might just be the perfect dram.

The water is drawn from the ancient river Maun (hence the town's name: Mansfield) and after being mixed with local barley it is matured for at least 40 years in oak from Robin Hood's own forest.

Whiskey is a shortened form of usquebaugh, which English borrowed from Goidelic languages (Irish Language uisce beatha and Scottish uisge beatha) meaning literally "water of life".
